The Tate Modern is a modern art gallery located in the former Bankside Power Station on the River Thames in London. It's Britain's national gallery of international modern art and is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the world.
The Tate is one of the most striking buildings on the riverside. This brick giant with its substantial central chimney is a beacon for locals and tourists alike. The view in this illustration is of the Switch House which contains a large gallery space and access routes between the main building and the tower. It's beautiful clean lines with windows that appear to be cuts into the bricks surface have been illustrated using bold blocks of muted and harmonious colours.
